I am actively involved in the development of the ASEAN Taxonomy and the different ASEAN sustainable finance and transition finance frameworks. In the Philippines I sit on the Capital Market Development Council (CMDC), the Financial Stability Coordination Council (FSCC), and the Financial Sector Forum where I oversee the drafting of the Philippine Sustainable Finance Taxonomy. Other prominent initiatives I oversee and manage is: 1) the drafting and issuance of the Digital Asset (ie crypto trading rules) for assets considered as securities in the Philippines, 2.) the drafting of the 2023 rules of procedure for the SEC, 3.) the rules on investment advisers (which includes the rules applicable to robo-advisers), 4.) the 888 by 88 project where the SEC aims to have 888 companies tap the capital markets by 2024 which is the SEC’s 88th anniversary (which is currently at 70% of the set target).
