The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn initiative is not a competition
It is a Recognition. A Celebration. And most importantly, a Community.
How the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn Started
The TOP 100 Filipinos to Follow on LinkedIn for Inspiration and Learning is a community-driven recognition of the top 100 Filipinos who actively share content on LinkedIn to inspire or educate the Filipino LinkedIn community created by Virginia Bautista.
This initiative started in 2018 with only 47 Filipinos on the list and has grown in the following years with 100 Filipinos included in the final lists. The idea was inspired by the “43 Most Inspirational Linkedin Icons In Malaysia You Should Follow Right Now” created by Marketing in Asia Founder, Azleen Abdul-Rahim.
Vision
To be the leading platform that showcases the diversity, excellence, and impact of Filipino talent on LinkedIn and beyond.
Mission
To celebrate and amplify the voices of the most inspiring and influential Filipino professionals and aspiring leaders on LinkedIn who are making a positive impact in their fields and communities.
The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn initiative is not a competition
Don’t aspire to be one of the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn. Instead, Aspire to inspire, motivate and help fellow Filipinos become more successful in their careers, businesses and even personal lives through LinkedIn.
The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn initiative is a RECOGNITION
It’s a recognition of the Filipinos on LinkedIn who, despite having their own challenges during these difficult times because of the COVID-19 crisis, continue to show up on LinkedIn to inspire, to motivate, to tell their stories, and to share their expertise by consistently posting content and engaging with our own content.
In 2021, we had 343 nominees. 217 qualified based on the criteria, and only the top 100 with the highest number of followers made it to the final list.
The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn initiative is a CELEBRATION
A celebration of the Filipino voices on LinkedIn, the world’s largest network of professionals. LinkedIn already has nearly 800 million members, and 10 million are from the Philippines. And the number of Filipinos continues to grow every single month.
So through this initiative, we want to celebrate the voices of those who are active on the platform and my hope is to encourage more Filipinos to be on LinkedIn and start creating opportunities for themselves and for others.
.
The Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn initiative is a COMMUNITY
As a community, we use the platform not only to attract opportunities for our own careers or businesses but also to help others attract opportunities for themselves.
Together, as a community, let’s help each other ELEVATE the Filipino LinkedIn community through inspiration and learning.
