We join the global celebration of Women’s Month and International Women’s Day, a time to acknowledge the phenomenal contributions of women throughout history and around the world. This year’s UNWomen theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” emphasizes the importance of empowering women to drive change and create a more equitable future.
Here in the Philippines, where women have always played a crucial role in society, we have an abundance of inspiring examples of female leadership. In 2023, the Top 100 Filipinos on LinkedIn recognized a diverse group of women making significant contributions across various fields. Let’s celebrate a few of these remarkable individuals.

From CEO to Advocate: Why Empathy is Key to True Inclusion
In honor of International Women’s Month, let’s reflect on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion for womankind and how it benefits all of humankind. As executive leaders, we must lead with empathy and compassion in both our professional and personal lives to inspire inclusion for all.
As a retired CEO/Founder myself, I learned from firsthand experience that empathy is key in decision-making, mentoring, motivating, and inspiring teams to do and be better. Prioritizing respect, tolerance, compassion, understanding, and kindness creates a more inclusive and equitable world. These embody empathy.
As Tim Cook of Apple once said, “People will try to convince you that you should keep your Empathy out of your career. Don’t accept this false premise.” Humanity first always!
Let’s continue to inspire inclusion and make the world a better place not only in our workplace but for our global community. Together,” we rise by lifting others,” in the wise words of Robert Ingersoll.
